Senior Backend Engineer

Role location Remote   Employment Type Full-Time

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and user experience.

Job Summary

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, APIs, and databases that power our core software platform. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of our backend systems. The ideal candidate is highly experienced in backend development, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is passionate about delivering features that delight customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain performant APIs and backend services
  • Architect data models and system logic for complex workflows
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and deliver features
  • Optimize performance and reliability of the platform
  • Integrate with third-party APIs, services, and infrastructure components
  • Enforce secure development practices and ensure data privacy and compliance
  • Recognize and improve engineering design patterns to streamline development
  • Contribute to product and engineering strategy alongside leadership

Qualifications

  • Mid to Senior level backend development experience ( C# .NET development, Entity Framework, LINQ )
  • Strong understanding of relational and/or SQL databases and CI/CD
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs, file parsing, and webhooks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization tools 
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset - humility, not ego
  • Prior experience at a startup or in a fast-paced environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools is a plus

Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

Role location Remote   Employment Type Full-Time

We’re looking for a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our team and help ensure that our products meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and user experience.

Job Summary

As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating and testing software to identify bugs, ensure performance, and verify that features meet functional and design specifications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to maintain a high level of product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements
  • Perform manual and automated testing of web and/or mobile applications
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Github, Trello)
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand new features and changes
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA-related reviews
  • Validate bug fixes and ensure regression testing is performed
  • Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards
  • Assist in building out automated test suites as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or related role
  • Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies
  • Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, TestRails)
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress or Playwright)
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience testing in Development, QA or Production environments
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Javascript, Python, Bash, Powershell)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with API testing and test automation frameworks 
  • Background in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of performance or security testing tools is a plus
