It’s that time of year–when the staffing industry gathers to connect, learn, grow… and have fun! We’re so excited to meet you in Nashville. We’ll be in the Knowledge Hub at the Tech 1 booth, and would love for you to drop by and say ‘hello!’ With so many great sessions and extracurricular evening experiences, we combed through the agenda and selected a few sessions to highlight. There’s something valuable in every session, so be sure to review the agenda and attend those in alignment with your goals and interests.
Here Is A List of Five Sessions at Staffing World We Are Excited for and Why:
1. Keynote: Become an Exponential Company with Explosive Growth
With: Peter Diamandis
When: Tuesday, Oct. 22, 3:30-5 pm
I’m looking forward to the tone this keynote will set for the conference. Who doesn’t need a little nudge to think bigger and bolder? With relevant topics for every organization, like innovation, continuous learning, shifting mindsets, and strategies to overcome barriers like risk aversion and legacy strategies–I am certain that everyone will find value in this keynote. Even better, it sounds like Diamandis will give us some actionable strategies and examples to put the big picture into motion in our organizations.
2. 2024 Top Trending Technology Tools You Should Have In Your Tech Stack
With: Hope Bradford- Sr. Director, Information Technology, Kelly
Tom Erb, CSP- President, Tallann Resources LLC
David Francis - VP of Product, Talent Tech Labs
Jim Essey, CSP, President and CEO, The TemPositions Group of Cos.
When: Wednesday, Oct. 23, 11:15 am - 12:15 pm
You can have an amazing, collaborative team, but to get the most out of them and be competitive in today’s market, you need a quality tech stack full of tools and solutions that support, enable, and amplify them. Finding the solutions that work best for you can be timely and expensive. This session feels like a shortcut to how to select technology and learn about key trends you should have on your radar… like AR automation. I’m really looking forward to this session, which covers the ‘who’s who’ and ‘what’s new’ of technology from front office to back office.
3. Supercharge Your Staffing Agency: Unleashing the Power of Generative AI
With: Lauren Jones- President, Leap Advisory Partners
When: Thursday, Oct. 24, 9:15-11 am
AI continues to be a hot topic in the industry and beyond–it’s become a daily part of news, language, business, and technology. But aside from having Generative AI help us meal plan, many feel lost when it comes to directly applying it to their business in a helpful, streamlined, and scalable way. I’m looking forward to hearing about some practical ways Gen AI can and is serving the staffing industry. I’m also interested in getting practical advice and guidance on how organizations can think about implementing Gen AI across the business.
4. Annual Planning for Growth Initiatives
Who: Jon Davis- CEO, Signature Back Office
Shannon Kahn, CEO, SMK Consulting
Erin MacKenzie, VP of Client Services, Newbury Partners
Jeff Pelliccio, Founder and CEO, Allied Insight
When: Wed Oct. 23, 11:15-12:15
The only constant is change. We know markets fluctuate, flex, and evolve, and I’m excited to hear from this panel about how staffing organizations can build a solid toolbox to face any environment. I hope to hear insights that offer real examples and turn over fresh perspectives or angles to address this challenge.
5. Charting the Course: Clinicians View on Health Care Staffing’s Past, Present and Future
Who: Phil Light- Co-founder, TravCon
Gabrielle Neff- Licensed Practical Nurse, IntelyCare
John Ruffini, VP of Professional Development, HealthTrust Workforce Solutions
When: Thursday, Oct. 24, 11:15 am -12 pm
Healthcare is dynamic and critical to every single person, and in staffing, it’s a sector that is constantly evolving right before our eyes. I’m excited to attend this session to get the pulse from the speakers about what’s happening right now in healthcare staffing. I’m curious to compare the big picture of future challenges, action plans, and strategies in healthcare staffing against those from other sectors. What unique approaches does healthcare require, and how can the healthcare staffing sector prepare to take them on?
BONUS- THRIVE Live at Staffing World and a Tailgate Interview With ‘The Shark’
On Monday and Tuesday, I am also thrilled to attend Thrive Live at Staffing World. A packed two days full of networking, idea sharing, and learning alongside other excellent women in staffing. It’s going to be remarkable with three exceptional keynotes featuring Molly Fletcher, speaking about Unleashing Potential; Ella F. Washington, sharing how to navigate the spoken and unspoken rules at work; and Shelley Paxton, sharing leadership lessons that balance success and fulfillment. Beyond the keynotes, the THRIVE agenda offers a choose-your-own-adventure of leadership growth, with sessions about Leadership Communication with Karla Dougherty and Delivering at Scale with Christine Sandman Stone. I wish I could be in two places at once! One thing is for sure: I always leave the networking lunches and focused roundtables with new connections and ideas.
If you’re like me and you can’t wait to get to Staffing World to sink your teeth into all the content and connections this event has to offer, make sure to catch us and a ton of other #StaffingWorld2024 attendees at The Shark’s Staffing World Tailgate– happening on LinkedIn Live this week. I’ll be chatting all things Staffing and Staffing World with The Shark himself, Richard Rosner.
